Associate Legal Officer

Advanced university degree in law, emphasis on international criminal law, public international law, international humanitarian law, international human rights law or other relevant focus, a first level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience is accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree

Minimum of two years of progressively responsible professional legal experience (four years with a first-level university degree) in a multi-cultural environment at national or international level, knowledge of structure and management of large organisations and Modus Operandi of inter–governmental organisations in the international arena, knowledge and experience in applying legal expertise to a diverse range of complex legal issues

Proficiency in either of the working languages of the Court (English and French) and working knowledge of the other is required, knowledge of another official language of the Court (Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Spanish) would be considered an asset
