2. Main objectives, responsibilities and description of the proposed work Under the general guidance of the Programme Specialist, Plan of Action Knowledge, the data visualization consultant will be responsible for conceptualizing and designing up to 10 highly visual online stories/toolkits using maps, statistical representations, plots, information graphics, tables, and charts to be published on the knowledge portal. The data stories should make complex data analysis accessible, understandable and usable by different users.
The consultant will be provided with the underlying data, readily compiled, including data compiled by UNV. He or she will be expected to propose innovative and creative ideas to present data and evidence on topics ranging from next generation volunteering support, volunteering for women empowerment, accelerating SDG implementation through volunteering, etc. She/he will play a proactive role in shaping the storylines that numbers and evidence will tell. The data visualization consultant will also liaise with the developers of the knowledge portal to implement the visualization.

Strong statistical data visualization skills
