Face-to-face fundraising has been identified as a central technique for pledge acquisition and the office has secured significant growth of pledge income through this channel in the last three years. The plan for the further growth is based on the opportunities enabled through a larger and stronger team of individual contractors engaged in face to face fundraising (‚facers‘) who could be engaged in more locations in Belgrade and Novi Sad.

As of January 2020, UNICEF in Serbia engages 50 individual contractors in face to face fundraising activities, and the plan is to have up to 60 contractors. Therefore, the office requires additional team leaders in order to secure coordination of new facers who will be engaged in 2021. The team leaders are expected to work up to 21 days per month, 8 hours per day, through flexible shifts that will secure their presence in the field to cover the shifts of engagement of the facers.

Tasks:

Control and monitor the work of face to face fundraisers through provision of guidance and support, and quality control checkups

Communicate to the donors the importance of sustainable funding through the private sector (regular donors) for programme implementation and its positive impact on organizational costs

Support the recruitment process of new face to face fundraisers through communication with faculties, HR agencies, students‘ organizations for employment, drafting vacancy notices and advertising materials for attracting potential candidates

Support the education process and actively participate in the evaluation of written tests, role plays and giving constructive feedback to the candidates for facer positions

Collect and segment the fulfilled pledge promises, inspect validity of data entered and submission of the donors‘ applications to the Fundraising Associate. Collect and segment the unfulfilled pledge promises and submit the donors‘ applications to the Fundraising Associate

Support the administration tasks as needed (telemarketing, data entry, video presentations of the programme) Work on the enhancement of productivity results above the target, with special emphasis on average gift (above 370 RSD) and average donor age (that donor group with age from 18 - 24 years participate with up to 20% in acquisition activities)

Recruit 0.6 donors per hour with an average gift of minimum 370 RSD and work on the recruitment of regular donors minimum 8 hours per week

Knowledge/Expertise/Skills required:

Tags customer relationship management data entry fundraising programme implementation quality control

Secondary education degree.

Experience in Face-to-Face Fundraising.

Understanding of UNICEF brand and general knowledge of UNICEF activities.

Understanding of marketing with an ethical approach.

Eagerness to learn.

Proven ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and provide deliverables.

Ability to be both a proactive leader and a hands-on participant in a collaborative work environment focused on achieving results

Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Ability to clearly communicate ideas and thoughts both verbally and in writing in Serbian and English language.

Computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel) and experience of using a database for customer relationship management.
