UNICEF Denmark is expanding our partnerships with the private sector, and we are looking for a Global Partnership Manager to drive and develop the relationship with one of our largest global partners with headquarters in Denmark. You will be in close dialogue with the partnership’s primary stakeholders, coordinate the many threads and directions in the partnership, and keep an ongoing focus on strategy, advocacy and communication. As Global Partnership Manager, you will lead a project team dedicated to the partnership and manage 1-2 junior employees. The partnership project team is a multinational team of enthusiastic specialists within the fields of strategic relationship building, programme management, communication and advocacy. The position is located in the Partnership Department, and you will report directly to the Director of Partnerships and Programmes.

As Global Partnership Manager you will, in close collaboration with international colleagues, and the Director of Partnerships and Programmes of UNICEF Denmark, fulfil the following responsibilities:

Provide best-in-class partnership management and ensure the expansion and renewal of the partnership.

Put your knowledge within the fields of Education and Early Childhood Development programming, as well Child Rights and Business Principles to effective use.

Manage the daily dialogue with the partners - including leading, preparing and following up on weekly coordination meetings, ensuring annual reporting, etc.

Prepare and facilitate high-level dialogues with senior stakeholders such as annual and bilateral meetings.

Establish new initiatives and maximize the financial and non-financial deliverables of the partnership.

Provide programme management for the overall partnership and serve as project manager for the team of colleagues.

Provide skillful management of junior employees

Collaborate closely with UNICEF’s HQ, Regional Offices and Country Offices to develop new project opportunities and write concrete and recipient-oriented project proposals and presentations to the partner.

Arrange and coordinate field visits and high-level meetings.

Ensure that the partnership is monitored and evaluated so that the set objectives are met, and the agreement reporting is delivered on time.

Collaborate closely with the colleagues in the partnership department focusing on creating synergies in partnership engagements and knowledge sharing.

The ideal candidate for the position has the following profile:

At least 8 years of relevant experience, a long-term academic education and excellent leadership skills.

Solid experience with corporate and foundation partnerships, hereunder negotiation and collaboration with stakeholders at the highest corporate level.

Proven ability to successfully make and secure multi-million financial and non-financial asks

Demonstrable experience with program collaboration, including program formulation and budget, preferably within or in collaboration with the UN system.

Ambitious, entrepreneurial, results-oriented with the ability to independently lead and run a business area, execute effective strategic planning, development and project monitoring.

Ability to create coherence between the strategic level and day-to-day activities.

Analytically strong, systematic, and a good communicator of complex material.

Experience with communication and advocacy, and the ability to convey complex program material.

Ideally programme experience within the fields of Education and Early Childhood Development, as well Child Rights and Business Principles

Fluent in English in both writing and speaking. Some level of Danish would be preferable but is not a requirement.

Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills.

Travel activities to progamme implementing UNICEF Country Offices as well as UNICEF Headquarters in Geneva and New York must be expected.
