The Director General’s Office (DGO) provides leadership and coordination for all IAEA activities at the executive level for meeting Member States‘ needs, and achieving a one-house approach and a results-based management.
The Office for Public Information and Communication provides objective, accurate and timely information about the IAEA and nuclear developments that fosters public understanding of the IAEA’s global roles. It also provides advice to the Director General on relations with the media and organizes press briefings. The Office coordinates the communication activities for the rest of the house and assists in the media aspects of major IAEA events and conferences.
The Media, Multimedia and Public Outreach Section has corporate responsibility for relations with the media and the public, as well as for producing audio and video materials to promote the IAEA’s activities.
Under the supervision of the Head of the Media, Multimedia and Public Outreach Section, and the oversight of the Multimedia Producer and other relevant staff in OPIC, the Video Editing Consultant will edit OPIC videos and act as a back-up camera operator when needed.
Functions / Key Results Expected
edit the footage provided by staff camera operators into short videos (to be shown on social media, the web and at conferences - see www.iaea.org for examples), including sound design and graphics where needed
rework existing videos into square format for social media
film interviews and basic b-roll at agency headquarters in Vienna to be made into various products (when needed)
subtitle videos in multiple languages (translations provided)
provide technical expertise in the IAEA livestreams and studio recordings
advise other multimedia staff with video admin tasks, such as cataloguing footage and archiving it correctly
identify and propose new technical innovations and solutions

Qualifications and Experience
A first level university degree and/or professional qualifications in film/video production or related field.
At least 5 years of relevant working experience in video production or post-production
Expert in Adobe Premiere and After Effects
Excellent oral and written command of English. Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.
The remuneration for this consultancy is a daily fee of up to a maximum of 265, based on qualifications and experience. In case duty travel is required within the assignment, a daily subsistence allowance (DSA) and travel costs are provided. Health coverage and pension fund are the responsibility of the incumbent.
