The objective of the project is to strengthen capacity and catalyze investment in the forest sector to spearhead the implementation of the forestry component contained in the GTP II and CRGE Strategy. Today’s forestry operations in Ethiopia need skills to manage forests for their multiple benefits, including conservation, provision of ecosystem services and forest products, adaptations to and mitigation of climate change. Both the ongoing projects are planned to intensify investment on the ground while expanding the scope to wider areas.
