Job Purpose
The Associate IT Officer (Digital Solutions) is responsible for identifying customer needs, prioritizing features, and developing the vision and roadmap for service management. The incumbent will manage the future development needs of service management to ensure that solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards. In this sense, S/he will play a key role in product business analysis and product design. The incumbent will also focus on service management horizontal capabilities that work across multiple modules and products within the platform. S/he will work closely with project managers, technical team members, and stakeholders to ensure the success of the product feature delivery and adoption. The incumbent will report to designated International Staff and senior National Staff.
Responsibilities
Strategy and Planning
Develop strong relationships and regularly communicate with product stakeholders and customers to shape the product strategy and surface and prioritize needs.
Lead product planning, and life cycle management efforts.
Provide recommendations around technical best practices & industry trends for enterprise service management.
Establish product roadmaps and release plans that satisfy requirements and achieve business outcomes.
Contribute to translating business requirements into actionable product and technical requirements.
Analyze the functional and non-functional business requirements for the solution.
Define solutions across the platform that aligns to out of the box capabilities.
Document and present technical solutions aligned with our stakeholder’s business problems.
Ensure up-to-date knowledge on ServiceNow solutions and its integration / interaction with other new technology platforms
Development and platform architect
Ensure solution architecture analysis, design, and direction on the development activities, with specific emphasis on leading efforts involving process, solution design, and integration while ensuring technical leadership and assurance of best practices.
Review all ServiceNow design issues and provide guidance to developers and administrators on fixing defects.
Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, standards, agile working methodologies, and tools while ensuring adherence to coding and quality standards.
Work with the development team to align with industry best practices on design, implementation, and automated testing of ServiceNow workflows and integrations.
Operations and Support
Manage relevant stakeholders and support project teams in eliciting business and system requirements, providing project-level analysis, and producing project and requirements analysis documentation.
Ensure all captured business requirements are translated and aligned with ITD’s technical solutions, product roadmap, backlog, and architecture, to be validated through testing.
Spearhead service management delivery through Scaled Agile Framework, DevOps, CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) testing, and deployment.
Ensure that all automation initiatives are sustainable and supported by engaging business communities effectively.
Qualifications
Relevant Experience & Requirements
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration/ Management, Engineering, or Computer Science-related courses. Preferably with advanced training in related fields.
At least 6 years of relevant work experience. At least 2-3 years of which in Service Management platforms and their application to complex hybrid cloud and on-premises solutions
Proven ability to manage delivery across multiple projects and multiple geographies at a time
Demonstrated ability in solution or enterprise architecture
Experience in IT Service Management processes and tools required
Experience in requirement analysis and business process re-engineering required
Prior experience in agile methodologies (experience in product management) preferred
Ability to work with an IT service desk ticketing tool, ServiceNow
Demonstrated teamwork (ability to working with others to achieve more effective results), and conceptualization (developing viable solutions based on an understanding of institutional perspective and needs) skills and management of others
Excellent written and oral English communication skills

Preferred:
Certifications in IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), ServiceNow CIS certified in relevant product areas
Experience supporting multiple countries and/or working as a team leader

The selected candidate, if new to ADB, is appointed for an initial term of 3 years.
