In positioning the WBG as an employer of choice and leader within the development community and to better respond to the diversified needs of the organization’s shareholders and staff, People and Culture Vice Presidency (HRD) transformed its delivery model into the following pillars:

Client Services Department that incorporates an end-to-end staffing model and supports the implementation of People and Culture (HR) plans and processes.

Employment Policy, Compensation and Systems Department that provides an integrated approach to managing employment policy and staff rules, driving compensation and benefit programs, and supporting service solutions, systems and analytics.

Performance, Career and Learning Department that brings together the entire talent management life cycle to maximize and leverage innovative solutions and strategies for increasing the WBG’s organizational and individual performance and capabilities.

Attracting and recruiting the right talent, in the right place and at the right time is critical to the WBG’s Operations. The Talent Attraction unit is responsible for driving recruitment best practices and attracting diverse skilled talents, in partnership with People and Culture (HR) Business Partners and Hiring Managers. The successful candidate will have the ability to develop and implement strategies to efficiently source candidates with strong technical skills, oversee the hiring process, develop and maintain pipelines and leads for professional-level roles.

The role will report to the HR Manager, Talent Attraction and will have the following duties and responsibilities: Duties and Responsibilities:

Proactively manage recruitment for assigned regions, Institutions and Vice Presidency Units, in collaboration with HRBPs, Recruitment Service Team and Hiring Managers

Develop and implement strategic techniques for proactive sourcing and screening on a global basis, with a focus on meeting client’s recruitment needs for skilled and diverse candidates

Provide clients with advice on recruitment and apply a wide range of sourcing strategies, including internal referrals, alumni networks, social media, outreach events, online campaigns, and existing applicant pools

Develop a pool of candidates in advance of staffing needs as specified by hiring units

Organize and participate in talent outreach events such as webinars, career fairs, and campus visits to elevate employer brand and identify prospective talent

Provide research and talent mapping exercises using search techniques and Talent Insights

Develop and maintain a searchable candidate relationship management (CRM) database to track potential candidates, including a record of all sourcing channels used, relevant sectors and contact information

Proactively follow up with potential candidates to generate interest in potential career opportunities with the World Bank and accurately maintain their profiles in the database

Coordinate relationship with recruitment search firms, validating candidates identified, and managing requests from internal clients.

Provide long listing and other sourcing and recruitment program support when required

Proactively contribute to the Recruiters‘ Communities of Practice (COP) and other recruitment related working groups

Selection Criteria

Master’s degree with at least 5 years in international recruitment with a proven track record in sourcing and high-volume recruitment drives

Demonstrable experience searching for talent and headhunting for difficult-to-fill roles, preferably within the international development space

Strong understanding of relevant core People and Culture (HR) areas (i.e., recruitment, employer branding, talent outreach, Analytics, workforce planning etc.)

Ability to gather and translate data into actionable insights, strategies and action plans to support corporate recruitment initiatives

Familiarity with talent pools and labor trends in emerging markets

Advanced knowledge of LinkedIn Recruiter as an effective tool, to source candidates, manage online campaigns, build talent pipelines, and create reports

Ability to analyze compensation packages and negotiate with candidates successfully

Experience using CRM tool and other Applicant Tracking Systems

Excellent interpersonal and multi-cultural skills to establish successful relationships with candidates and sources, as well as with internal clients

Pro-active and agile approach to work and willingness to learn

Track record of high level of integrity, tact and discretion when managing sensitive and confidential information

Result-driven with a positive attitude and a high degree of initiative and responsiveness

Ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and attend to details while staying focused on key priorities

Excellent teamwork and collaborative skills

Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting work priorities and demands
