Organizational Setting and Reporting

This internship is located in the United Nations, Staff Development and Learning Section,

Human Resources Department, United Nations Office at Geneva. This internship is from 10 January - 30 June 2017. Applicants are encouraged to highlight their specific skills and/or experience. In the cover note, they are asked to do so carefully in order to enhance the value of the internship for both themselves and the receiving Office. The internship is UNPAID and full-time. Under the overall supervision of the senior programme manager of the Management & Communication Unit.

The incumbent will:

assist in the implementation of the well-being programmes

implement new e-learning materials using the content already created, edit and update online materials when necessary (Using Adobe Captivate, other authoring tools, videos, etc)

assist in the implementation internal marketing strategies to promote programmes;
assist in the preparation of training activities, including administrative work of the section;
work closely with one or two programme managers in support of his/her training activities;
assist with international examinations;
undertake a project related to his or her Masters‘ programme;
other tasks as required.

The incumbent will :

experience working in a multinational section of the United Nations

learn about the staff development programme at the United Nations

be part of a dynamic team

learn about and assist with other programmes in the Section as desired and required

To qualify for an internship with the United Nations Internship Programme, the following conditions must be met:
