opportunity to gain new work experience, the selection for this position is for a limited

period and has no bearing on the future incumbency of the post.

Organizational Setting and Reporting

This position is located within the Office of the Head of Office, Sector South of the African

Union-United Nations Hybrid Operation in Darfur (UNAMID), Nyala. The incumbent will

report to the Administrative Assistant of the Head of Office (HoO).

Duties and responsibilities:

Within delegated authority, the Team Assistant at this level will be responsible for the

following duties:

Performs a wide range of office support, liaison, facilitation, logistics and protocol

functions.

Supports HoO’s front office in managing office supplies and logistics planning.

Assists in managing and facilitating HoO’s meetings, travels.

Assists in compiling and organizing files and documents in the office and handling

delivery mails and related communication,

Provides, logistics and liaison support to meetings, boards, committees, conferences, and

other official events organized by the Head of Office

Reviews, records, distributes and/or processes mail and other documents; follows-up on

impending actions.

Operates and maintains assets used by the office, including vehicles, office equipment

such as photocopier, facsimile, printer, scanner, etc.

Performs other duties as assigned.
