In line with the Secretary-General’s ‚21 for 21‘ agenda and its strategic orientations, t he Development Co-operation Directorate (DCD) supports the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) to carry out its mandate to help increase financing for development as set out in the Addis Ababa Agenda on finance for development, and to improve the effectiveness of development co-operation for sustainable development, in line with the 2030 Agenda. Through inclusive partnerships for development, we help ensure better lives for people in the developing world by understanding development finance, strengthening the delivery of development co-operation, improving development policy building partnerships for development and contributing to implementing the Sustainable Development Goals.
DCD is looking for a dynamic and visionary Deputy Director, with strong leadership skills, extensive management experience and sound knowledge of the Directorate’s areas of work. As a key member of the senior management team of DCD, s/he will work closely with the Director to support, advance and provide strategic direction to the Directorate’s work as well as with the Office of the Secretary-General (OSG), the Development Centre, the Sahel and West Africa Club, and the rest of the Organisation in the development and implementation of horizontal projects, and on strategies to advance implementation of OECD advice in member and partner countries and to support the OECD’s contribution to development co-operation discussions in other global fora (in particular, G20 and G7) in co-ordination with the Sherpa office .
